Pandora!

My roommate recently introduced me to this website and I am absolutely addicted. For those of us college students living in fear lately that Ohio State will strike a deal and give away our names for pirating music off of sites like limewire and torrentspy, there is still hope for obtaining new music without having to pay. Pandora.com is a unique site that allows every individual to obtain music to their own personal liking. Essentially, one enters their favorite artist/band, then the website seeks out similar artists for that person to listen to through free internet radio. Everyone who logs on has the opportunity to create a personalized profile, while a blogging community also exists through the website. This site is great when you want a mix of similar music but don't feel like making that mix on itunes or searching through your library of 10,000 songs to do so. Now you don't have to waste any time at all. . .just log on and enjoy!

Sheer genius! I can't wait to try it out. I won't download music anymore because the Greed mongers will find us and eat us. I love the fact that we found a loop hole.

I've used this before and I like it. Very similar to last.fm's radio feature. I use iTunes to buy music but I love Pandora for when I want to hear music by artists with music similar to what I like.

I've never heard of it, but I can't wait to try it out. I'm kind of paranoid about being caught downloading music as much as I do, so this will be a great way to make me feel a little better about it. And I'm always looking for new things that I like so this will really help.

This site is amazing. I love being able to type in a lesser known band and be able to find other bands that are similar. The fact that it shows the last couple of songs you have played makes it easier to go back if you forget who it was. Great site!

I think Pandora is absolutely great. I listen to Pandora all the time and with pandora's 'I like' feature, the more I listen, the better the music. Personally I've told many of my friends about the site, and they've told their friends too. I'm glad that despite the earlier fuss about online music licensing fees, Pandora is alive, well, and growing.

Thanks for the very nice post. Very glad to hear that you're enjoying Pandora so much.

We definitely hope that more students find out about Pandora as the RIAA lawsuit effort keeps growing. Just last week I visited a bunch of campuses- Syracuse, UT Austin, Case Western and MIT. This whole legal issue seems to be very much on people's minds.

Thanks again. Cheers. Tim (Pandora founder)
